Sylvia Plath – The Bell Jar

“It’s just about a young girl who goes on a trip to New York and kind of finds out she’s depressed. She tells us how she deals with her situation, how she starts writing then feels like she can’t write anymore and that her life is not going anywhere. I think it takes place somewhere in the 50s.

It’s a very famous book, a lot of people really like it. I have struggled with my depression in the past so it’s really nice hearing about a girl about my same age completely moving to a new place, going to a big city and trying to find herself.”
